Surfing Sunglasses

Information on buying Surf Sunglasses

When buying sunglasses for surfing, consider the following:

1. A stiff frame with negligible give helps keep the sunglasses on your face.  Flexible sunglass frames don’t work in the surf for the same reason that goggles don’t work – too much flexibility allows them to come off too easy.

2. A non-elastic strap is a must to keep the sunglasses on your head.

3. Ventilation in the frame is a must for surfing in colder temperatures.

4. A non-removable strap is also a must to keep the sunglasses on your head.

5. A wrap-around frame with a cushioned nose-bridge fits a wide variety of faces.

6. If you wear Prescription glasses, get a pair of Prescription Sunglasses

7. A leash can get caught around your neck.  Never wear sunglasses with a neck leash.

Most Surf Sunglasses on the Market already include these Important Features:

100% UVA & UVB Resistant

High-Impact lenses

Polarized lenses to reduce glare caused by light reflected from the surface of the water
